Originally part of the old railway station this building with its solid granite walls and original oak stairs was converted by the owner in 1999. Initially intended to be their home, it has been lovingly decorated and furnished to a high standard creating a cosy feel with more personal effects and detail than you might find in other self catered chalets. The king size African bed hand made from dhow wood, the free standing cast iron bath and the uniquely designed fireplace are a few of the features that this chalet offers.

Ground Floor
There is a porch between the external front door and the internal door which leads directly into the sitting room. The sitting room is open plan, with two large comfy sofa (one is a sofa bed), and coffee table, and modern entertainment centre comprising of flat screen TV, DVD player and stereo CD player. There is also a large beautiful wood burning stove in the sitting room to kep you warm on those cold winter nights.
The dining room and kitchen are directly off the sitting room on a separate level, and has all the conveniences you would want in your own kitchen.
Next to the kitchen is bathroom with wc, sink and shower cubicle, next to a good sized double bedroom with ample wardrobe space and a king size double bed. There is a door from the bedroom that leads directly outside to to the private garden at the back of the chalet, which has four wooden garden chairs and a large garden table.
First Floor
The stairs lead lead you up from the kitchen into the top floor of the chalet, where you will find the master bedrooms. This is a beautiful room with a huge african oak bed at one end, from which you can watch the stairs through the roof windows above the bed. There is a stunning free standing Victorian pedestal bath and bath and antique basin in the room, and a large sofa as well. This room also benefits from a separate wc.
